YCFCU - Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union

Yirgacheffe Coffee Union is an Ethiopian producer and exporter of coffee and was founded in 2002. After suffering from undulating world coffee prices, the union took the intiative to organize and become recognized under the national labor union.

Production systems used by YCFCU coffee farmers are ecologically sound and sustainable. Coffee is shade grown in manmade semi-forests or intercropped gardens.
