Eldersburg, MD (February, 1, 2014) – Salazon Chocolate Co., the Maryland-based makers of organic salted chocolate bars announces today that in March 2014 it will commence sales of three new bars to complement their popular line of salted chocolates.
The three new bars will be made using a new 72% dark, Fair Trade Certified™ chocolate which is single-origin, and made using only Hispaniola beans from their partner farm co-op in the Dominican Republic. This darker chocolate is richer and bolder in flavor to complement the exciting ingredients in the line extension. The new bars are:
- 72% Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt & Organic Coconut
- 72% Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt & Almonds
- 72% Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt & Organic Cayenne
“We are very excited to be partnering with Fair Trade USA to certify these new bars which are an exciting step forward for us”, said Pete Truby, founder of Salazon Chocolate Co.
The new bars are set to launch in select Whole Foods Markets and other natural food stores across the country (SRP $3.99). All 3 bars are gluten-free, kosher, vegan, and contain no genetically modified ingredients. All ingredients for all bars are organic with the exception of the natural almonds.
