Farm Improvements and Organic Training

CAC El Milagro invested $4,829 in various improvements to individual farms and an additional $3,195 on training courses for administrative staff and cooperative members. Trainings were held on a variety of topics allowing farmers to learn and apply more efficient practices. As organic farmers, it is important for members to keep up with the latest alternatives to chemical pesticides. About 95 percent of the farmers grow their products without using agrochemicals. The cooperative is aiming for 100 percent organic production.
