Miguel is focused on creating opportunities between buyers and coffee-growing communities around the world. In this post, Miguel talks about the potential for small-scale farmers in Honduras who hope to access the many opportunities and benefits of Fair Trade through Fair Trade USA's new Independent Smallholder Standard (ISS).
The Guatemalan Federacion de Cooperativas Agricolas is a producer and exporter organization made up of about 54 smaller coffee cooperatives. Founded in 1969, FEDECOCAGUA has facilitated coffee exports and sales to local and international markets for their more than 20,000 small-scale farming members.
