OAKLAND, Calif., March 9, 2010 - TransFair USA™, the leading third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States, today announces that it has received a $50,000 grant from Green Mountain Coffee®, and a three-year commitment of $925,000 from the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Foundation. The Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Foundation was established and is led separately from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) by GMCR Founder and Chairman Bob Stiller.

Members of Fair Trade Certified Coffee Associations put their Beans to the Test

BELO HORIZONTE, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Nov. 20, 2009 - Winners for this week's Brazilian Fair Trade Certified coffee cupping competition have been announced. Sebastião Reguim of the producer association, Unipcafem, and Marcos Antônio Nali of the producer association, Pró-nova, won first place in the natural and semi-washed coffee categories. The competition, which is a specialized tasting process to assess quality, capped off several months of intensive quality training for farmers and was attended by high-ranking Brazilian and U.S.

OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 17 - TransFair USA, the third-party certifier of Fair Trade Certified™ products in the United States, today announced that it is extending the "Fair Trade lifestyle" into cotton clothing, bed and bath products. The first Fair Trade Certified apparel and home goods products are expected to hit U.S. retail shelves in spring 2010. To ensure the highest impact program for Fair Trade Certified garments, TransFair USA is now seeking public comment on its new draft factory standard.
