Jennifer Gallegos Brings More Than Ten Years of Coffee Experience to Position

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA, (July 7, 2010) – TransFair USA, the leading independent, third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States, announces Jennifer R. Gallegos as its new Director of Business Development, Coffee.  In this role, Gallegos will help to increase the rapidly growing Fair Trade coffee business, which grew 25 percent in the United States in 2009 despite the economic recession.  Additionally, Gallegos will work to expand TransFair USA’s producer network and help current producers develop new programs and products to appeal to U.S.

OAKLAND, CA, (April 28, 2010) - TransFair USA, the leading third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States, congratulates the Fair Trade Certified™ CECOVASA Coffee Cooperative of Peru for winning top honors in the 2010 Roasters Guild Coffees of the Year Competition at the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s (SCAA) 22nd Annual Exposition & Symposium, April 16 – 18, 2010 in Anaheim, Calif.  CECOVASA’s coffee was awarded best Peruvian coffee of the year, and was then selected for the People's Choice Award.
