We can change the world by changing our breakfast. How? Have Fair Trade Breakfast and help Wake up the World by educating friends and family about the benefits of supporting Fair Trade.
A Fair Trade Breakfast is a shared morning meal that features as many Fair Trade Certified products as possible.
Get Involved
Last year more than 110,000 people from 21 countries joined the campaign, making it the world's biggest Fair Trade Breakfast. Can you help us beat that number for World Fair Trade Day 2011? Here are some easy ways to get involved:
- Host Fair Trade Breakfast for your family and friends
- Celebrate a day early with a Fair Trade Breakfast at your office or school on Friday, May 13
- Join the Global Fairtrade Breakfast Facebook group to get updates from around the world
- Partner with a local store or cafe to hold a Fair Trade Breakfast event
- Organize a big Fair Trade Breakfast picnic in a public park

Rhubarb Bread
Ease of Preparation: Ease
Preparation Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 50-60 min
Servings: one loaf (about fifteen ½-inch slices)
Ingredients
1 package Simply Organic Banana Bread Mix featuring Fair Trade Certified cane sugar
3/4 cup water
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup finely diced fresh and ripe rhubarb
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, blend all the ingredients together. Pour into greased 9-inch loaf pan. Cook 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
Chef Suggestions
Serve with strawberry preserves.
