Have you heard about the new Facebook networking application BranchOut? We have recently partnered with BranchOut to provide college students the opportunity to compete for an internship in Fair Trade USA's innovative communications department through the Ultimate Internship Contest.

PR / Social Media Internship

Are you a skilled communicator, avid writer and someone passionate about social change? Fair Trade USA is a nonprofit organization and the leading third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States. We work hard to make international trade fair and sustainable for farmers and workers in developing countries.  As a PR intern, you'll be tasked with spreading the word about Fair Trade USA and the difference that consumers can make with their everyday purchases.   

Details: This is a twelve-week, unpaid internship in Oakland, California. Public transportation expenses will be reimbursed.

Eligibility: Preference given to undergrad and graduate students majoring in communications and business.

How to win: Create a professional profile and get five or more endorsements on BranchOut, a career networking application that you will be invited to install on the next page.. Once you do, your resume will be reviewed, and the top candidates will be interviewed by Fair Trade USA.

Interning at Fair Trade USA

Although this internship is the only Fair Trade USA potion featured on BranchOut, it is not the only avaiable position at our office.  You can view and apply for a variety of other internship positions here.

We regularly offer compelling, educational internships for students, recent graduates and professionals in our Oakland office. You will have the opportunity to work in a professional setting with a talented group of individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of family farmers and workers around the world. Our internships are upaid, but we can offer college credit and transportation reimbursement.  You'll also get to sample plenty of delicious Fair Trade Certified foods!

Most of our internship positions require a minimum of 15 hours per week for 10 weeks. Some positions require a more or less hours or weeks depending on the complexity of the project or assignment.
