We offer compelling, educational and service experiences for students, recent graduates and professionals as volunteers in our Oakland office. You will have the opportunity to work in a professional setting with a talented group of individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of family farmers and workers around the world. Volunteers who can meet the more substantial time commitment of an internship can access a diverse array of projects and assignments that complement educational curriculum in a variety of areas. Recent college graduates and transitioning professionals are also welcome to apply. Most of our internship positions require a minimum of 15 hours per week for 10 weeks. Some positions require a more or less hours or weeks depending on the complexity of the project or assignment.     The Coffee Supply Chain department at Fair Trade USA works to strengthen farmer organizations, and engages exporters and importers to ensure that Fair Trade Certified supply chains deliverable positive impact to producers and their communities. The Coffee Supply Chain department also manages the implementation of Fair Trade USA’s impact assessment initiatives, which seek to measure the social, economic, and environmental outcomes of Fair Trade Certification, and communicate these impacts to stakeholders throughout the coffee supply chain. Additionally, the Coffee Supply Chain department provides pertinent market information, onboards newly certified producers, exporters, and importers, and supports production of trade shows and other services to all Fair Trade Certified coffee producer organizations.

    This position builds, administers, and iterates public facing websites and resource portals for our variety of stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Technology, the Front End Developer manages all projects requiring HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP, Delivers best-in-class front-end code across a broad array of interactive web and mobile projects, uses a combination of languages (whichever tool is best for the job), possesses an advanced knowledge of web and mobile UX/UI, and develops & tests across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices.
